SUSTAINABILITY

MATERIALS
Sustainable materials and fabrics are an essential part of our new collection, in an effort to reduce the environmental issues caused by the product life cycle. Cotton alongside polyester, is the world's most produced material, so this is where Miss Shop is starting.
SUPIMA COTTON
Supima cotton is a superior type of cotton grown in the USA. It represents less than 1% of cotton grown in the world. What makes Supima unique to other cottons is the extra-long staple fibre that gives the cotton its premium properties: strength, softness and colour retention.
Supima cotton is farmed using state-of-the-art technology and processes. From GPS navigation used on tractors to plant and harvest the cotton and satellite technology and soil monitors, Supima farmers ensure they are growing the best quality cotton in the world with as little impact on the environment as possible.
Products made with Supima cotton ensure that customers are buying a premium product that will last for years to come. With its indulgently soft touch, natural resiliency and rich deep colour, Supima cotton is a luxury fibre that improves the quality and life of your product.

RECYCLED POLYESTER

Polyester is a manmade material and has a large negative impact on the environment as it consumes huge quantities of water, chemicals and energy in its production. In addition, it is also non-biodegradable.
Recycled polyester is created by taking existing plastic bottles, breaking them down and spinning them into new fibres. Furthermore, the garments made can be recycled numerous times into a material of equal quality, reducing demand for virgin polyester. Producing recycled polyester takes less energy, and keeps plastics out of landfill, thus less soil contamination, air and water pollution.
The benefits of recycled polyester are also wrinkle resistance, quick drying and easy-to-clean.
